Elizabeth Sprouse
I am passionate about creating a culture that prioritizes interpersonal relationships and autonomy. Every day, I get to work with people that I love, both my colleagues at Double Lantern and the people I have been so fortunate to team with over all these years. How lucky am I?!

Outside of work, you'll find me spending time with my family and friends, working out so I can live for years to come and hiding myself in books.

About
Elizabeth, equipped with a master of public health from Emory University Rollins School of Public Health and a bachelor of arts in journalism from the University of Georgia, has had a diverse career. Before founding Double Lantern Informatics, she held roles at Cox Publishing, CDM (an environmental engineering firm) and Emory Healthcare. Now, as the founder of Double Lantern Informatics, Elizabeth feels compelled to leverage her training and experience in informatics and related disciplines for upstream solutions that positively impact public health and the lives of future generations.

Elizabeth specializes in technical advisement, program development, and facilitation of meetings and workshops. She is a resolute fan of the Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) data standard and has witnessed its evolution as a trusted standard for health care interoperability. Additionally, she has served as adjunct public health informatics faculty at the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University for several years.

Outside of work, Elizabeth, along with her husband Rory (high school sweethearts since Homecoming 1995!), and their son Jim can be found hanging out in Atlanta or traveling. They are committed to a family goal of visiting all 50 states, with eight years remaining to reach the remaining 12.

In establishing Double Lantern, Elizabeth aimed to create a workplace aligned with her desire to serve others during her career, fostering autonomy, a growth mindset and personal fulfillment for the team. She is dedicated not only to developing her team into colleagues in servant leadership, but also to cultivating wellness, balance and a corporate culture that promotes independence, flexibility and trust.
